Applications for Citizenship of St Kitts and Nevis Soar: Sustainable Growth Fund credited for success

December 11, 2018

The St Kitts and Nevis government recently revealed that application numbers for its citizenship have reached a new peak, compared to the previous four years. The small Caribbean country has been welcoming investors since 1984 – a year after gaining independence from the UK – under its Citizenship by Investment Programme. A new investment route, called the Sustainable Growth Fund (SGF), was launched this spring and is credited for this year’s popularity of the programme with foreign investors and mobile families.Frequently cited factors for St Kitts and Nevis citizenship via SGF include fast and straightforward processing; easy and secure completion of applications via authorised agents; and no entrepreneurial risks. Because applicants are to make a single, non-recurrent contribution directly to a government account, there are no intermediaries, nor future financial or physical requirements, other than abiding by national and international laws.St...

City Attorney Strikes Foul Blows Against Black Landlord Anne Kihagi and is Rewarded Millions of Her Wealth

December 11, 2018

The City of San Francisco’s trial tricks are as dirty as they come, despite the mission of public prosecutors as upheld by the US Supreme Court:“The State’s Attorney is the representative not of an ordinary party to a controversy, but of a sovereignty whose obligation to govern impartially is as compelling as its obligation to govern at all; and whose interest, therefore, in a prosecution is not that it shall win a case, but that justice shall be done… But, while he may strike hard blows, he is not at liberty to strike foul ones.” (Berger v. United States)In spite of this call to justice, the City’s strategy for City of San Francisco v. Kihagi was indeed : overwhelm Anne Kihagi with discovery and ensure that she could never complete it. In most cases, courts fairly give each side enough time to prepare – this was not the case here. The court slashed Ms. Kihagi’s trial preparation time by four months,...

New Computer Technology Cures Diabetes

December 12, 2018

In a quest to get around Moore’s Law, an international PhD student has discovered a new computer technology that has many applications in medical devices. It makes it possible to cure diabetes in a very convenient way. “Diabetic patients can eat whatever they want, whenever they want, without any limitations. They will live pretty much a normal life. ” the inventor says. This technology is the next step in the computer hardware technologies. It uses piezoelectric materials instead of semiconductors. For many years, scientists knew there was such a possibility, but nobody knew how it can be harnessed. The main advantage is that the energy consumption is more than a billion times smaller than the current semiconductor-based technology. It means that the computer devices will never heat up. And, they don’t need a large battery. In fact, the necessary energy can be harvested from the environment. In the medical applications, the energy can be harvested...
