Tina Jo Takes Art and Fashion Photography to New Levels of Creativity

When it comes to capturing the essence of fashion and art, more and more fashion brands, events and entertainment companies, and art curators are turning to . Based in Los Angeles, this native of South Korea is fast making a name for herself as the go-to photographer in reimagining her subjects.


Her clients are mainly based in California and New York and include artists, fashion brands and designers, art curators and galleries, entertainment businesses and magazines – even other photographers. She is also often contracted for personal portrait work by these same clients.


Some of her national and international commercial customers have included Urban Outfitters, Irene’s Story, FATL, Cats Got the Cream, Vince, American Apparel, Loxely Lane and Anreko. Her work for Riot Games was seen on ESPN and in the Daily Mail, Inven Global, Forbes, Washington Post and more.


Tina Jo received her bachelor’s in photography from Otis College of Art and Design in LA where she developed her photography style and aesthetic. typically incorporates vibrant color, shadows and natural lighting and Tina Jo says she strives to include “surreal elements” that allow the consumer to “interpret the images in their own way.” 


“I really enjoy creating images that captivate viewers in a way that makes my clients’ brands and products memorable,” said Tina Jo. “If I produce images that are beautiful to look at and inspire people to make a purchase or learn more about a client, I have succeeded on many levels.”

When I graduated from college, I knew I would be a photographer but I did not know that people in so many industries would be drawn to my work,” said Tina Jo. “Now, I even get to pick and choose the assignments I take.
